THE CHASTAIN is a New American neighborhood restaurant set on the north edge of Atlanta’s vibrant Chastain Park. Rich in history, it’s location is one of the longest consistently run food service locations in Atlanta. Despite humble beginnings as a farm stand turned country grocery serving hot dogs and hamburgers in the 1930’s, the location transformed into Bill Daley’s Red Barn, a full-fledged restaurant, in 1946, then Red Barn Inn after Bill Daly’s Death in the early 60s. Horseradish Grill opened in 1995, and finally, THE CHASTAIN in 2020. Serving inventive takes on classic comfort food, THE CHASTAIN focuses on sourcing the best local ingredients and seasonal harvest, some of which comes from its own onsite garden. The restaurant offers a menu of refined crave-able cuisine in a relaxed, neighborhood space.
THE CHASTAIN is led by critically acclaimed Chef, Christopher Grossman, formerly of Atlas, Aria, and The French Laundry and by General Manager and Operating Partner, Emilee Durrett, who brings remarkable experience in the restaurant industry from some of the best hospitality groups on the West Coast.
